Setting up SiftDNS on macOS

1. Open System Settings:
   Click the Apple menu (🍎) and select "System Settings" (or "System Preferences" on older versions)
2. Go to Network:
   Click on "Network" in the settings window
3. Select Your Connection:
   Choose your active connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) from the left sidebar
4. Click Advanced:
   Click the "Advanced..." button at the bottom
5. Go to DNS Tab:
   Click on the "DNS" tab in the popup window
6. Add DNS Servers:
   Click the "+" button and add:
   • [Primary IP from Stripe invoice notes or email]
   • [Secondary IP from Stripe invoice notes or email]
7. Apply Changes:
   Click "OK" then "Apply" to save your settings

Setting up SiftDNS on Android

1. Open Settings:
   Swipe down and tap the Settings icon (⚙️)
2. Go to Network & Internet:
   Look for "Network & Internet", "Connections", or "Wi-Fi"
3. Tap on Wi-Fi:
   Select Wi-Fi from the menu
4. Long-Press Your Network:
   Find your connected Wi-Fi network and long-press on it
5. Modify Network:
   Select "Modify network" or "Manage network settings"
6. Show Advanced Options:
   Scroll down or tap on "Advanced options"
7. Change IP Settings:
   Change "IP settings" from "DHCP" to "Static"
8. Enter DNS Servers:
   In DNS 1: [Primary IP from Stripe invoice notes or email]
   In DNS 2: [Secondary IP from Stripe invoice notes or email]
9. Save:
   Tap "Save" to apply changes

Setting up SiftDNS on iPhone/iPad

1. Open Settings:
   Tap the Settings app on your home screen
2. Tap on Wi-Fi:
   Select Wi-Fi from the settings menu
3. Tap the "i" Icon:
   Find your connected network and tap the information icon (ⓘ) next to it
4. Configure DNS:
   Scroll down and tap "Configure DNS"
5. Select Manual:
   Choose "Manual" instead of "Automatic"
6. Add DNS Servers:
   Tap "Add Server" and enter:
   • [Primary IP from Stripe invoice notes or email]
   • [Secondary IP from Stripe invoice notes or email]
   Remove any existing servers by tapping the red minus button
7. Save:
   Tap "Save" in the top-right corner

Setting up SiftDNS on Your Router (Recommended!)

Setting up SiftDNS on your router protects ALL devices on your network automatically!

Method 1: Router Web Interface

1. Access Your Router:
   Open a web browser and go to your router's IP address (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1)
2. Log In:
   Enter your router's username and password (check the sticker on your router if unsure)
3. Find DNS Settings:
   Look for "DNS Settings", "Network Settings", or "Internet Settings". Sometimes these options are found under the "DHCP Settings" or "LAN Settings" section.
4. Enter SiftDNS Servers:
   Replace existing DNS with:
   • Primary DNS: [Primary IP from Stripe invoice notes or email]
   • Secondary DNS: [Secondary IP from Stripe invoice notes or email]
5. Save and Restart:
   Save settings and restart your router if prompted

Method 2: Router Mobile Apps

Many newer routers use smartphone apps instead of web interfaces:

• ASUS: ASUS Router app → Settings → LAN → DNS Server
• Eero: Open Eero app → Settings → Network Settings → DNS
• Google Nest Wifi: Google Home app → WiFi → Settings → Advanced networking → DNS
• Linksys: Linksys app → Advanced Settings → Internet Settings → DNS
• Netgear (Nighthawk): Nighthawk app → WiFi Settings → DNS
• Netgear (Orbi): Orbi app → Settings → Internet Settings → DNS
• TP-Link (Tether App): Tether app → Tools → Internet Connection → DNS Server
• TP-Link (Deco App): Deco app → Advanced → IPv4 → DNS Server
• Ubiquiti UniFi: UniFi Network app → Settings → Networks → [Your Network] → DHCP DNS Server

Look for "DNS", "Custom DNS", or "Advanced Network Settings" in your router's app, then enter your SiftDNS server addresses from the plaintext notes section of your Stripe invoice or email.
